The IIFM computer centre provides 24 hours computing support to the students and the faculty of the Institute. Computers at the Institute are seamlessly connected over a campus wide switched Local Area Network having a high-speed optical fiber backbone. The centre provides unrestricted Internet access and email facility to the faculty, students and research staff through dedicated 1 MBPS Leased line. The centre has state-of-the-art GIS (ARC/INFO) and digital image analysis (ERDAS), ArcView, Geomedia facilties on windows NT platform and HP workstations. A variety of operating systems and rich software resources which include project management software, statistical and OR software, RDBMS, and compilers provide students with a unique learning opportunity. The computer centre also has facilties for multimedia projection, which are used extensively for teaching use of computer software. Peripheral support equipment at the centre includes a A0 Size Scanner, A0 sized Inkjet Plotter,  A0 sized pen plotter, A0 sized digitizer, Central Print Station, DAT drives, Zip Drive, A4 sized scanner and a wide range of networked printers.

The Lan extension having Pentium Class Machines provides round the clock computing facilities to students
